Bangkok fire and rescue department is affiliated to the Bangkok metropolitan Administration. The duties is to prevents, rescues of fire and public disaster in the area of Bangkok. There is by Communication cell to provide information and send alarm to all fire station unit to go on perform operation while there is requested or needed. Therefore, the Communication unit is bringing in “Real time Alert Program” to installs on their communication’s server computer to provide efficient analysis, evaluation, safe and decreasing lost cost of all of values of public and government.

- To increase the public’s reaching opportunity of Bangkok fire and rescue department’s services.
- To spread out knowledge of preventing and recovery of various disasters.
- To create a network and co-ordinate of communicating in rescue and recovery.
- To provides real time situation information to the administrator and/or supervisor for making better decision.
- To support of management by collecting and record all of situation information into the information’s server so can be use for planning and analysis to the supervisor . They fore can be use in such as
- Quantitative research of prevention.
- Reduce of relative effective disaster.
- Reduce of resources and budget.
- Reduce of lost during and after scene.
- To increase better performance on operating with use of information technology.

สำนักป้องกันและบรรเทาสาธารณภัย เป็นหน่วยงานของกรุงเทพมหานคร มีหน้าที่การป้องกัน ระงับ เหตุเพลิงไหม้และสาธารณภัย ในเขตพื้นที่กรุงเทพมหานคร โดยมีฝ่ายการสื่อสาร คอยประสานงานสถานีดับเพลิง หรือหน่วยงานต่างๆ เข้าระงับเหตุเพลิงไหม้และสาธารณภัยต่างๆ ให้กับประชาชน จึงได้นำระบบโปรแกรมรับแจ้งเหตุ แบบ Real Time บนระบบคอมพิวเตอร์ และเจ้าหน้าที่ที่กำลังเข้าปฏิบัติหน้าที่กับศูนย์ควบคุม ให้สามารถตรวจสอบการปฏิบัติงานได้อย่างมีประสิทธิภาพ ปลอดภัย ต่อทั้งทรัพย์สินของทางราชการและของประชาชน

- เพื่อเพิ่มโอกาสให้ประชาชนเข้าถึงการให้บริการด้านการป้องกันและบรรเทาสาธารณภัย
- เพื่อเผยแพร่ความรู้ในด้านการป้องกันและบรรเทาสาธารณภัย
- เพื่อสร้างเครือข่ายในการติดต่อประสานงานกับประชาชนผู้ขอใช้บริการด้านการป้องกันและบรรเทาสาธารณภัย
- เพื่อให้ผู้บริหารสามารถมองเห็นภาพเหตุสาธารณภัย แบบ Real Time จากศูนย์ควบคุม เป็นการสนับสนุนข้อมูลในการสั่งการ ควบคุม บังคับบัญชา อำนวยการ ในการเข้าระงับเหตุการณ์ฉุกเฉินหรือวิกฤตได้
- เพื่อให้ผู้บริหารสามารถตรวจสอบและเก็บข้อมูลต่างๆ ได้อย่างถูกต้อง สามารถนำข้อมูลไปใช้ในการบริหารและวิเคราะห์สาเหตุที่เกิดขึ้น อีกทั้งนำไปสู่การวิจัยเชิงปริมาณเพื่อการป้องกัน ลดผลกระทบ ลดความสิ้นเปลืองงบประมาณและทรัพยากรให้สอดคล้องกับลักษณะของสถานที่เกิดเหตุ กำลังคน อุปกรณ์ เครื่องมือเครื่องใช้ ยานพาหนะระหว่างหรือหลังเหตุการณ์ความสูญเสียจากภัยพิบัตินั้น
